What is CodeMux?

CodeMux is a proprietary extension for Visual Studio Code 1.93 or later, currently marked as a preview. Install it from the Visual Studio Marketplace. The extension works with a hosted service for managed model access.

What a task can include

A task can read your repository for context, route each step to a suitable model, edit an explicit set of files, and run your checks. Independent parts of a task can run in parallel when they don’t depend on each other or touch the same files. See how it works and supported models and providers.

What verification means

CodeMux shows the changes it made alongside the checks it ran, including anything it could not verify. A completed task is not a guarantee that the code is correct. Review the changes and any remaining checks before accepting the work.

Installation and model usage

The extension is free to install. Managed models use a pay-as-you-go balance with no subscription in the current offer. Compatible user APIs are billed by the provider separately. See pricing and billing details.

CodeMux is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft or the model providers listed on this site. Workspace context needed for a task is processed by the service and selected provider. Read the privacy notice and terms.
